In developing DALiM SWiNG, Dalim Software had one overriding priority: Ease of use. DALiM SWiNG’s “PPD-Driven Workflow” system means anyone familiar with standard desktop applications can use an automated workflow. If you know how to print a file to a printer, then you can SWiNG it!

Each DALiM SWiNG workflow has a simple to understand user interface controlled by two tools, the Editor and the Manager, which are available from both the server and Macintosh workstations.

THE EDITOR
The Editor enables an administrator to assign workflow actions, set parameters for each action and publish DALiM SWiNG input folders to the network for processing incoming files.

Each action has fully editable parameters specific to the actions task, allowing an administrator to quickly build and establish an unlimited number of workflows for job variations.

Published input folders can be assigned as network print queues and/or desktop mounted volumes for added drag and drop functionality.

THE MANAGER
The Manager is utilised to organise and administrate jobs with the ability to start/stop workflows, view the status of all files being processed, change their priority and restart jobs waiting for validation or other operator intervention.

EXTENDED CONTROL
DALiM SWiNG’s seamless integration into mixed system environments also allows control to be handed back to the desktop through PPD (PostScript Printer Description) files.

Just as you print to a desktop printer, DALiM SWiNG’s tool parameters can be controlled to override all workflow parameters... these PPD files can even be sent to clients, ensuring
“right-first-time” artwork supply.
