TWiST PRiNTEMPO is a unique JDF-based print production system that uses any common web browser on any client platform as it’s interface. An optional module to the DALiM TWiST automated workflow system, PRiNTEMPO monitors the status of print and prepress production, triggering actions such as the automatic generation of plates or proofs of single pages.

Production management
Based on the award-winning DALiM TWiST automated workflow system, submitted files to PRiNTEMPO are pre-checked using advanced "soft-interpretation" preflight algorithms. A preflight report can be accessed in the event of print output issues being detected. Once past the preflight check, pages are normalized into a "Print Predictable" state. Work in a vector-based (NORM) or pixel-based (ROOM) workflow model - even mix the two together. DALiM PRiNTEMPO gives you the flexibility and freedom to work the way YOU want to work.

At any time during production, imposed forms can be automatically generated according to a JDF imposition template selected for the job and the separation specifications given. All page and imposed form production developments can be tracked via a web browser at any time, with comprehensive status information. Deadline management
By fixing deadlines for each stage, jobs can be quickly managed and any press over-scheduling can be detected well in advance. To aid job validation, PRiNTEMPO includes web-based page and signature soft-proofing.

Automatic and dynamic imposition
PRiNTEMPO can be used to fully automate the imposition process. It can automatically fit each page into a selected imposed flat based upon the file's name, showing production staff the progress of the job - all without user intervention. No page number information? No problem! PRiNTEMPO allows users to select files and fill templates with a unique "drag & drop" interface.

Last minute changes
Whenever a new version of a file arrives, PRiNTEMPO automatically stores it and labels it with a different version number. Users are free to use whichever version of the file - and change back to a previous version at any time. Making a change automatically puts the signature into a new validation status. Changing page numbers is simply a matter of "dragging & dropping" the pages into the desired sequence, that automatically re-creates a new imposed form. Last minute imposition editing such as page translations, rotations, offsets or scaling can be performed directly, all within the same browser interface.

Need to move the job to a different press?
PRiNTEMPO operators simply select the new imposition template and the entire job is re-paginated in seconds. PRiNTEMPO's unique technology allows users to follow the job's production status in realtime, and even receive infomation of developments via SMS or email.

Open
The openess, device-independence and intuitive easy-to use interface of DALiM PRiNTEMPO is unmatched. Prepress departments are free to use their prefered imposition software, RIP, proofer and output device - even file format.
